Great variety of foodstuff, spices, European foods, fresh fruits and veg, dips, beautiful cheese and meats selection. Cheese selection is great, blues, hards, softs and all. Biscuits and crackers, sweets and drinks. A good selection of alcohol and a nice place to get your ingredients for a platter, afternoon nibble plate or gift hamper goods. As you'd expect, prices on the upper end but some very reasonable as well, and hey, it's a speciality food store. Worth a visit.

Purchased some mortadella and was delighted at the professional way the assistant (at my request) sliced the product so thinly. There are surprisingly few who seem to be able to achieve this. The aforementioned slices were then placed on the packaging paper in such a way that when opened they were easily removed in tact. The young lady serving me was absolutely across the whole process. I was very impressed. I will definitely be back when next in town.

These guys just keep on delivering the goods! They have unique and interesting options that you often can’t source anywhere, traditional Italian goods and the most accomodating friendly staff. I can’t recommend them more highly. Loving their Christmas options, from big to small you can always find something lovely to bring or share on your table. Lovely local family which we love to support x

Ash, Lisa and the team at The Fresh Food Merchant go above and beyond to ensure customers are cared for and supplied the freshest and most high quality produce. Instore is a huge variety of goods. The deli offering is incredible!Special thanks to Lisa who today exceeded expectations to help us with our Christmas dinner. We are so grateful. ❤️
